Tennessee Williams was a rootin'-tootin' GUN SHOOTER (when he was with MANLY MEN like President Kennedy and Gore Vidal).
This photo was taken at Palm Beach, FL, which educated-in-history people know was developed -- like MUCH of the rest of Florida -- by William R. Kenan, Sr. -- CORRECTED: JUNIOR (Kenan names are often confusing -- and typically RECYCLED!!!), for Henry Flagler (until Flagler's death in 1913). And while Kenan had grown "rich as Rockefeller" from running all Flagler's NOT-Standard Oil Enterprises, his sister, Mary Lily, inherited almost EVERY PENNY of Flagler's estate -- which included something in the vicinity of 2/3 of the Standard Oil Trust.
This enabled my distant Kenan relatives to GET SERIOUS, and within a few years, the Kenan Family various Charitable Trusts began their NEARLY ONE HUNDRED YEARS NOW of being the largest private support in the world for university education.

Damn it's hard to read your blog!I'm sure there's good stuff here but I give up, my eyes are in pain.
