Not because we like pain.
And NEVER in the face of suffering. (Pain is part of Life, but can be spiritually reduced with just a believed IDEA!!!) Suffering is an ATTITUDE (perfected by certain types of ingrate women -- sorry, Ladies, I don't mean you) -- but infectious to all, and is ALWAYS optional.
We have seen the End and it is PERFECT, if not fully materialized, yet. Part of us which is growing is ALREADY THERE (but we must come back to the conflagration to assist in bringing EVERYONE to Love -- OUT of Love).
I call these "La Mancha" moments.
We know your pain will heal when you Submit to Love (I did not write "sex", although THAT sure can be fun!!!)
You get to have ANY kind of consensual and respectful sex you want, and that does NOT deny argreed-on disrespect games like bondage or humiliation -- GAMES, damn it! -- not actual subjugation.

He really DID save us (nearly all of us) from something: Having to die crucified on a cross -- his weight pulling on his hands and feet NAILED to that cross, air passages nearly choked closed so he had to GASP for breath. (Sen. McCain, WITH GRACE, suffered nearly as much while a POW -- and for FAR LONGER!!!)
Reportedly, Jesus (unlike Mr. McCain) had his human moment of despair -- asking God why He had abandoned him.

I'm sure John McCain must have at times felt abandoned too -- and his irrational siding with fellow Republicans in supporting and voting for many heinous-to-God measures, proves that even the most stalwart and heart-felt Patriots can be affected by PTSD.
And remember: if you suffer, IT IS ENTIRELY YOUR OWN FAULT.
