Two years ago when Elizabeth Taylor appeared to me like a classic Catholic Saint's vision (like Jackie Kennedy Onassis has done MANY times, and JFK twice, JFK, JUNIOR twice as well -- once as young John-John, once as an adult -- as opposed to as an apparition -- only Tennessee Williams has appeared to me as an apparition), I PROMISED Ms Taylor I'd clear the pornographers out of the Elizabeth Taylor Theater in Puerto Vallarta where the GOD-HATING, NAZI-SALUTING, PRI MAYOR CHAVA GONZALEZ RESPLENDIZ had do DELIGHTED in letting them MASTURBATE all over the backs of Elizabeth's CHAIRS!!!
I have yet to accomplish this, but trust that the NEW mayor will be more understanding and helpful.

MY GOD what a woman -- and so tied (both directions) to Tennessee Williams. My first official act in NYC -- right after I began working for TW was to KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT while the top people at ICM (Tennessee's agency) and Zev Buffman tried ...
But Tennessee was WRONG, and Liz, who managed to GET the rights right after Tom died, IS TO MY KNOWEDGE THE ONLY PERSON EVER TO PROVE TENNESSEE WILLIAMS WAS WRONG!!! Now don't get ME wrong -- her re-make, shaped largely by Gavin Lambert's adaptation of the material is in MANY ways BEYOND SMARMY (the popular style for TV dramas of the mid-to-late 1980s -- and this WAS a TV production). But Liz proved she was NOT too old to do it -- and despite the productions many flaws, I TREASURE my DVD of it like few others.
I suppose partly because Gavin Lambert was such an interesting character and I got to know him quite well. I have GREAT stories about Gavin in my memoir (available here from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/WALKING-ON-GLASS-TENNESSEE-ebook/dp/B0053480S2 , which got RAVES from John Lahr and even Thomas Keith who is an AGENT OF SEWANEE, who with the Episcopal Church and the Republican Party assisted Maria St. Just, Tennessee's OWN LAWYER John Eastman -- Paul McCartney's long-time first brother-on-law -- and MY OWN MOTHER -- in the MURDER of TW).
But I think only in my BLOG (as well as my many calls to representatives of Natalie Wood's family and the Los Angeles detectives a couple of years ago), do I tell about how Gavin had had very private conversations with Natalie, who had discovered that her husband Robert Wagner and Christopher Walken wre having a TOTALLY SERIOUS and UBER-INTENSE homosexual affair -- and she was ABSOLUTELY panicked that if they found out she knew, there was not a SNOWBALL'S CHANCE IN HELL they would would not murder her.
Less than a month later, they did -- and then there was the cover-up, which 2.5 years ago the boat's captain (who apparently was NOT an actual eye-witness to what DID happen), recanted his lies and the investigation was re-opened -- and then rather recently RE-CLOSED -- but with the understanding that while there was not enough evidence to convict either Walken or Wagner (I happen to think it was Walken -- just because he's become so despicable-looking these recent years), they were NO LONGER CONSIDERED ACTUALLY INNOCENT!!!
Strange news (of the best kind to me, personally -- and two two Catholic Clergy in Wilmington, NC and the "down-trodden" they serve): In gonig to get the link to my memoir on Amazon, I looked at the public stats of popularity. While the book CONTINUES to suffer politically (anyone giving it a review or even a "like" risks death of their OWN careers -- thanks to CIA/Republicans/Nazis -- which is WHY I never took the SHUN by Williams and theater people PERSONALLY). But TODAY, my memoir which has almost always languished in "Theater History & Criticism" between #25 and #35, IS NOW UP TO #3!!! !!! !!!

Now how's THAT for some good news two days BEFORE MEXICAN THANKSGIVING DAY!!!
