Although there are MANY days claimed to have been "Jesus's" birthday (the Hebrew and Aramaic form of the name is Yeshua, and he was likely called "Yeshua-bar-Yosef" -- "Jesus" being the GREEK form of the name, and "bar" meaning "son of") -- some using scripture alone, others adding the Science of Astronomy, Roman Records, etc. into the calculation.
So June 13 - 19 (using all methods available), is considered the RANGE in which he was born. My own birthday, June 16, is its average, but ever since "strange people" have been coming up to me to tell me of MY mission in life (first in 1974 -- and about five times total and as recent as 2001), they have stressed that I am NOT Jesus returned -- as if that isn't obvious to ALL my blog readers -- especially ME!!!
The first day of Winter is the day the light of the sun begins to lengthen the days in the Northern Hemisphere, and whether you prefer that the Catholic Church -- or was it the Roman Emperor??? -- changed the feast date to December 25 in the third century, CE, was to CODDLE the Pagans who all celebrated their gods' birthdays on that day, or for some other reason, they wanted to CONVERT those Pagans, and this was a way to EASE the process.
Actually, December 25 was either an error in earlier calendars -- or that it was only by the THIRD day of the sun's returning that it was OBVIOUSLY noticed by eyes -- that it was not set for 12/22, as would be logical for we moderns with our excellent calendars.

But going forward, as "Believing Christians", the world's LARGEST REMAINING PAGAN GROUP, become as quaint and picturesque as the Amish -- also called "Pennsylvania Dutch", all their Fear of God (for good reasons, given the Commandment that there is ONLY one God -- faithfully kept by the Jews and Muslims), it is time to consider that the Amish are called PA Dutch because when asked by English-speaking Christians who/what they were, they replied in German, "Deutsch!!!" and those silly, ignorant Christians thought that sounded like the English word "Dutch", and, so they were named -- LOL!!!
But the Amish area of PA and Ohio as well is small with towns named "Intercourse", "Blue Balls", etc., so HOT for tourism -- while Christians aren't too hot for ANYTHING (except violence), so no good for that.

And while I'm at it, the REASON Jews are so SMART is that they were the first group in "Western Civilization" to believe in only ONE GOD, so Jews were not splitting their FOCUS to MANY gods -- or "Christian Saints" as the Catholic Church has continued this Pagan Practice, and JESUS is chief among them.
Muhammad, born hundreds of years after Jesus, was born into a NOMADIC society -- or sheep-herders, itinerant merchants, etc. -- there being NO CIVIL LAW enforceable in such a society -- much like in Mexico -- and the United States is becoming, today. So it was NATURAL that much of its traditions involve a more "dog-eat-dog" mentality, and women had to be shielded more against lawless men. Still, there is great love and beauty in its Teachings.
