For months it's been a concern that Bernie would want us to back H if she won the nom. Now we know that is not what Bernie expects. We are in this to make real change. #PoliticalRevolution
This is what i like to explain to my friends and family:
#1: Independents (40%), the largest group of voters, decide general elections and guess who they love. The love Bernie! This is why Bernie out performs H in head to head match ups with the GOP candidates.
#2: At the convention, the Democratic leadership will have to take into account when they select the nominee who actually will bring new people and independents into the process. This is the only way the Democrats will win the white house. Look at the numbers, it is very clear who is accomplishing this task and who is not. Wining southern states during the primary season with low turn out isn't going to cut it in a general election.
