I am sad. Angry. More Angry than sad. Helplessness and despair is bubbling from within. The strength to breathe and live takes so much for some of us. While I try to breathe in and out myself right now, I can't help but think that there was something that I could have done. My friend and one of very few trusted men in my life, was stolen from this world. He fought for Equality and died fighting for his life. It has been confirmed that last night Ryan Lee Burris died. He didn't overdose, he died fighting his demons with an unassisted detox. I hate drugs but I hate that we live in a world that criminalizes drugs and places barriers on those seeking help.
