For years, unaffiliated voters have been the fastest-growing category in North Carolina. But in large numbers, these unaffiliated voters are coming from a surprising place: the Democratic Party.
Voters switching from Democrat to unaffiliated make up the largest block of party-switchers since the beginning of 2018, according to a Longleaf Politics analysis of data from the State Board of Elections.
A total of 35,472 former Democrats left the party to become unaffiliated voters in 2018. That compares with 25,238 voters who switched from Republican to unaffiliated, though that type of party switching is a more common media storyline in the Trump era.
The same trend is holding true in 2019 as well. As of March 1, 5,169 Democrats had switched to unaffiliated status, compared with 4,411 Republicans.

Dear Mr. Goodwin, top Officers of the NC Party, New Hanover County Party Officers, and “Hot Li'l Red-Head”, Andrew Dunn:
I had NO IDEA when on May 20 (two days ago), I sent the following email to New Hanover County Democrats (copying the top State Dems then, too), that this posting would go SUPER-VIRAL (in Wilmington and North Carolina, anyway – with over 300 hits from RUSSIA, as well!!!): https://theweathercontinues.blogspot.com/2019/05/letter-just-sent-to-richard-poole-new.html, and adding Andrew Dunn, a Conservative Spin-Master, who if CORRECT and his figures are TRUE, then I will tell you WHY they are:

Now, to stay less controversial, I will not get into Governor Cooper and Attorney General Stein being HUGE with my Republican Kenan Family and their Christian Hard-Drug Trafficking. SO ARE ALL THE REPUBLICANS, who generally are all also WHITE SUPREMACISTS.
And Republicans are FAR MORE LIKELY to be married to women and have boyfriends on the side.
North Carolina – including her Democrats -- IS IN FACT behind the rest of the most of America in HONESTY, largely due to the Love-of-Lying in the “Bible Belt” (aka “Gay Porn Belt”, etc.).
So here in New Hanover County we have TWO notorious Democrats who are “closet-case homos”, who are HUGE in Hard-Drug Trafficking: Mayor Bill Saffo and District Attorney Benjamin R. David.

And we have TOO MANY Democratic Party Officers of Elected Officials whose loved ones have PERISHED due to Hard Drugs: NH County 3rd Vice Chair Ryan Lee Burris, his fiance Wes Taylor, and NC State Senator Deb Butler’s wife Maria Antonietta "Anni" Parra.
And while Republicans only nominate TRASH LIKE JUSTIN LANASA to major local offices, Wilmingtonians are SICK AND TIRED of Mayor Saffo, City Council, D.A. Ben David, Sheriff Ed McMahon, and Police Chief Ralph Evangelous PROTECTING the Drug Mafia and the Christian Churches that run it. And in MY neighborhood, everyone had GREAT HOPES for former Mayor Harper Peterson, who AGAINST ALL ODDS (given the totality of his District), WON and is our new NC State Senator.
And then Harper NEVER made a big point about stopping the Drug Trafficking (founded here by my parents with Nixon Aide John Ehrlichman, Fr. Bob Kus, etc.), and WORSE, has PARTNERED with NC State Rep Deb Butler – the WORST (although I have no direct evidence of Mr. Peterson’s Drug Trafficking, his problem is by ASSOCIATION with Deb)!!!
Now, I’ve been OUT and GAY since 1969, even worked with GLAAD co-founder and current California Superior Court Judge Dean Hansell – both in anti-poverty/voter registration work in impoverished black communities in western Tennessee, but founding the first ATTEMPTED Gay Group at Denison University in 1972 (it took a couple of more years for one to STICK).
And my good friend then, and now a top-rated Psychologist in Winston-Salem Bert Bennett III, is the SON of – and yes, I met his Dad spring 1973 – Bert Bennett Jr., perhaps the BEST and MOST EFFECTIVE Head of the Democratic Party in North Carolina EVER!!!

Well, I am waiting to hear back from the North Carolina State Bar, to see if my latest-filed Grievance against Republican Judge Chad Hogston has been ACCEPTED and an Inquiry initiated: https://theweathercontinues.blogspot.com/2019/05/nc-state-bar-grievance-filed-against.html.
