I called my Mother, Ruth Anne (Meyer) Kenan, at 9:30 AM today -- Mom answered energetically and CHEERFULLY, "Did you see that my neighborhood had a SHOOTER???"
NONE of my siblings had called Mom to make certain she was OK!!! And Mom said SEVERAL OLD LADIES in the neighborhood had called her to tell her to close and lock all of her doors and windows, and CLOSE all of her curtains and shades -- they were in a LOCK-DOWN situation!!!
Mom said she was GLUED to TV coverage to watch the developments -- and that my brother Mike had driven back to PA yesterday morning -- so NO, Mike DIDN'T watch the Congressional Hearings with her -- and I didn't think to ask if SHE had watched any of it .
