Commission on African-American History honors seven

The City of Wilmington’s Commission on African American History will recognize seven living legends during a celebration on July 27, 2019.
The event is held in the spirit of the Commission’s mission, which is to plan, develop and implement community projects that recognize and increase the awareness of the contributions of African Americans to Wilmington’s history; to encourage and assist African American history; and to recognize sites in the community that are significant to African American History.
The seven recipients who were selected have shown outstanding leadership with a keen vision to help people succeed in life, professional contributions, as well as many accomplishments improving our community, making it a better place for all of us to live.
The Living Legends are:
Mr. Hollis Briggs
Mr. Briggs has been a public servant in Wilmington for a large part of his life, both in and out of official office. He served as a U.S.S. North Carolina Battleship Commissioner, a member of the Wilmington Tree Commission, and a member of the advisory board that worked towards the 2014 Transportation Bond and later the 2016 Parks Bond. He has served as the President of the Bottom Neighborhood Empowerment Group, as well as the Chairman of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Committee. Mr. Briggs spent 33 years in the Culinary Arts and currently works as an accident investigator and marketing coordinator for The Boseman Law Group. Mr. Briggs is the father of five children.

ANOTHER from this same List is Dem. Judge and Christian Minister James H. Faison III -- who because I told him how I knew MANY PEOPLE who had partied with Barack Obama and Rahm Emanuel in Chicago's Man's Country private Gay Bathhouse -- when Obama was an Illinois State Senator -- SCREWED ME IN COURT !!!

Rev. James H. Faison, III
Judge Faison was born in New Hanover County and attended North Carolina Central University and North Carolina Central University School of Law, earning his Bachelor’s and Jurist Doctor Degrees. As a District Court Judge he presides over juvenile cases, Family Court, Drug Treatment Court, and DWI Treatment Court.
His impact on the community spans from his work with the New Hanover County Blue Ribbon Commission on the Prevention of Youth Violence, Community Boys and Girls Club, YMCA, Hope Abounds, God’s Comprehensive Outreach Organization, Wilmington Symphony Board of Directors, and the Legal Aid of NC Advisory Council.
He has served as a professional and spiritual mentor throughout the region, notably authoring an Anti-Bullying Resolution adopted by the Wilmington City Council, the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners, and the School Boards of New Hanover and Pender Counties.
Judge Faison is a Pastor at Byrd’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and serves as the Kenansville Missionary Baptist Association (KEMBA) Youth Council Director . He has been recognized countless times for his service and contributions to the community. He has been married to Mrs. Angela Woodard Faison for over 29 years and they have one daughter, Christa, who is a music educator at the Snipes Academy of Arts and Design

DEAR FAMILY -- especially those who attended Ruth Anne (Meyer) Kenan's NAZI-FEST and belated 100th Birthday Celebration in Raleigh, North Carolina last weekend:
I spoke with Mom for half an hour this morning and learned that EVERYONE GOT SICK from her Party -- LOL!!! Mom said that five or six were vomiting a LOT, and Julie was so bad off she stayed in BED for two days before driving back to Pennsylvania. Mom didn't know if it was food poisoning or a bug someone brought, but she still felt too tired to do much four days later -- it struck everyone on Monday morning, after many had hit the road.
We discussed a LOT OF THINGS, and it went so well that Mom said she needs to recover for a few weeks before she and Jane drive down to Wilmington to show me ALL OF THE PHOTOS!!!
We discussed LOTS OF DETAILS including how she MURDERED UNCLE BOB with help of a Veterans Hospital with double-strength Lithium Carbonate -- guaranteed to cause Chemically-Induced Diabetes -- which Bob died of slowly and painfully as his appendages were amputated one-by one over a couple of years.
We ALSO discussed how Mom ran Procter & Gamble's Skin Research Labs in Cincinnati -- when they got Dr. Josef Mengele's Research on NAZI MIND CONTROL, and Mom developed that further -- and STILL using those techniques on ALL OF US -- and then they RE-NAMED IT FOR MOM -- Project MK ULTRA!!!
AND Mom refused to let me know Kat's last name, but said it was a HUGE WEDDING -- but they FORBID Julie to attend because she had recently had COVID-19 (which she caught on a plane returning from Puerto Vallarta -- and WHILE IN AIR, the airlines were ALL SHUT DOWN) -- so that was a WHILE AGO and makes one wonder that since they bought the $1.25 Million house AFTER getting married, WHY isn't anyone's name on the Deed -- except for Connor's???
And Mom said that Julie drove down from PA and in Mom's house it was set up so they watched and listened to the WHOLE WEDDING in REAL TIME there -- QUITE THE AUDIO/VIDEO PRODUCTION!!!
I was so SHOCKED that I could not believe that ALL of you had set up such a GOOD SYSTEM OF LYING TO ME -- that I had had NO IDEA, and thought they must have eloped, since no one mentioned attending their wedding.
Mom said that is because I would make a "BIG DEAL OF IT". And I said a HUGE WEDDING is NO SECRET, so I didn't believe her and I'm sick of all her NAZI LIES!!!
Still, she said she and Jane would drive down in a few weeks to show me the photos and take me to lunch -- so at least I have SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO, no???
