A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday,
May 2, in the Dorsey Hall Chapel of Columbia College
in Columbia, Mo. The Rev. Brad Stagg will preside. A
celebration of her life in Urbana is planned for later

From the early 1980s on, she focused almost exclusively on the life and works of Tennessee Williams, and became a leading authority on his early life and on his late plays. She made significant contributions to Lyle Leverich's official biography of Williams, and edited and wrote introductions for several New Directions Press editions of Williams' plays. She was an adjunct professor in the Department of Theatre at the University of Illinois, where she advised on productions of several of the early full-length plays by Williams. She produced dozens of articles and conference presentations on Williams.
