OK, update to my post from the weekend regarding

Project Grace. The price is going up, but it’s not

exactly what I thought, and it’s apparently not

really a surprise to the county.

Essentially, the county never really had a good idea of

how much all of the finishing work, including building

exhibits, would cost. On Monday, for the first

time, they presented an actual, realistic

budget.

Notably, this has nothing to do with Cape Fear

Development increasing its costs. Instead,

the county is asking CFD to take on some work it had

planned to fund directly.
