I'm ANGRY because I've had the WORST trouble EVER today maintaining an Internet connection, with Internet Explorer and Google Chrome opening DIFFERING websites -- but never say CNN or HuffPost both at the same time. My Internet connection icon in lower right says NO CONNECTION when I HAVE connection -- and usually that I have connection when I don't.
Windows constantly looks for solutions to my problems but NEVER finds one -- and I just have to LAUGH!!!
You see, "Dagwood" has told me that his brother's father-in-law is a TOP Dick Cheney COLLABORATOR in Alpharetta, Georgia-- and even alerted me to an Atlanta lawyer who might be MOST INTERESTED in some suits in Atlanta!!!

I'm just loving all this -- and have SO MUCH I could discuss with YOU who KNOW SOMETHING!!! That said, it's Sunday evening-ish in Central Standard Time, and I encouraged the Mexican neighbors to burn out some weedy undergrowth, so am a tad SLOW at typing, etc. -- and plainly deserve some R&R.
But I felt I could not STOP without sending you a quick note. Funny, but it was DRUG MAFIA holding me captive in Puerto Vallarta in 2010, who (a Canadian woman dealer also studying nursing) pointed out browsing the book THE KENAN FAMILY, how many Kenans in WARS, beginning with the Revolution were considered as STRONG physically, mentally, and spiritually as TEN NORMAL MEN -- published press accounts from the Civil or Spanish-American Wars of FLABBERGASTED onlookers. Charlie Boney, who gave physical-plant orientation to my group at First Prez talked about the Kenans like they were the actual Gods on Mt. Olympus!!!
Even though I am blood related to Tom at about the year 1700, I decided to TAKE THOSE KENAN TRAITS and make them my own. It helped that I had my connection(s), but REALLY, anyone can do this with ANYTHING. Believing made it so.
You brought up Busch. I met the most GORGEOUS woman somewhere near my age, at the Texas Welcome Center on I-10 on the boardwalk over wetlands, fall a year ago. I was just attracted to her invisible aura of self-knowing and assurance, and after talking a while (and dishing Kenans, which intrigued her), she turning out to be Nancy Busch, a friend of Betty Kenan's, and in the end flipped her gorgeous head of hair, saying she could NOT WAIT to get home to check my blog -- and off she marched with her three young charges, presumably grand-children.
And in 1990, when I first worked for Collegiate Concepts in Tucker (which became Pentagon Publishing, Inc.), a recept was married to a Kenan driver -- which excited ME. She got me a Kenan Logo Mug, and I was SHOCKED to see how CHEAP they were -- one of those thermos mugs with clear plastic outer mug and wire handle. Curled loosely between the two layers was a hand-cut piece of thin-stock paper with black and white Xerox of the name and maybe a line drawing of a Kenan truck -- LOL!!!
I DID meet Lee Shaffer in 1990 -- and liked him a lot. Although he was Tom's roommate late at UNC, in 1978 when I tried to buy property on Scott's Hill Road, north of ILM, my Bryant Real Estate Agent (Wrightsville Beach), had been a close frat brother of Tom's -- but to HIS knowledge, Frank only owned "a couple of Exxon stations".
Besides Frank, the other especially IMPORTANT Kenan was William R. Kenan, JUNIOR, and I HIGHLY recommend reading ACROSS FORTUNE'S TRACKS: A BIOGRAPHY OF WILLIAM RAND KENAN, JR. by Walter E. Campbell. Google internet-wide for the best price on a used or new copy. Mr. Campbell is honest about LOTS OF WARTS and expresses amazement that the Kenans allowed so much honesty. The only honest piece missing is Mary Lily's syphilis, etc., which is well covered in the Chandler bios of Flagler and Robert Worth Bingham (and elsewhere).
Well, sir, you have CAUSED ME TO LOSE R&R, so enough for now -- HA!!!

Yes, that educational system is really something at UNC – I’ve got some rich relatives over in Lumberton (Anheuser Busch) that built the sports facility at UNC Pembroke – my uncle is R. C. and his daughter (my cousin) is K. G. – I think K. is a Recruiter for the advanced high school students applying at Pembroke.
The Doctors up at Duke saved my Aunt Fayo's life – she had some form of melanoma 15 years ago and they got it in remission – she is 70 now – wonderful medicine in NC.Yes I have fond memories of Mr Frank and my days at Kenan Transport – I met him one time at an AA meeting while working for him.
He used to love to drive around in his Rolls Royce by himself and he reportedly had a walking stick with a shotgun built inside it (he didn’t have a body guard). 2. FIRST a few observations:
A. This is IMPECCABLY GOOD BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS FORMATTING AND WRITING AS WELL!!! (I DO have a problem with people using "utilize" when "use" works -- similar with preventive/preventative -- which is NOT A WORD, DAMN IT -- LOL!!!)
B. Although it took Sen. McCain THREE AND A HALF MONTHS to write to me, UNLIKE all the other Senators who replied on BOTH sides of the aisle, John McCain's STAFF selected a response so well written it APPEARS to be written TO ME, individually, but having NO REFERENCE to any of my specifics, it clearly is only a FORM LETTER -- BUT WAS COMPETENTLY SELECTED!!!
C. Everyone knows that John McCain took an UNBELIEVABLE BRUISING in the 2000 primaries against George W. Bush, so bad they did not speak for AGES. And even though he had been TORTURED by captors in Vietnam and did NOT crack, the Republicans CRACKED HIM SO BAD he even accepted the JOKE OF THE CENTURY Sarah Palin as his running mate -- and even DEFENDED HER AS A PRESIDENTIAL MATERIAL within the last couple of months.
I don't believe even SHIT-FOR-BRAINS Rick Santorem would defend Sarah Palin now.
D. And yesterday on CNN/Candy Crowley, it was CLEAR that McCain had SET IT UP so that she would LET HIM make an APOLOGY for something RASH and HATEFUL he had said -- and I don't even remember what it was about, but in the end he MADE PERFECTLY CLEAR he was wrong by laughing and exclaiming, "GUILTY!!!" just like the sometimes silly GAY BOY he actually is.
I give Sen. John McCain my award for GOOD SPORT, and HOPE he continues to become the REASONABLE, conscientious THINKER he was before the BUSH/CHENEY NAZI MACHINE SCREWED HIM like they did my pal Gen. Colin Powell.

Dear Mr. Kenan:
Thank you for contacting me to relay your concerns regarding the National Security Agency’s (NSA) intelligence collection programs. I appreciate reading your thoughts on this important matter.
As you know, in June 2013, The Guardian and The Washington Post reported that the NSA had been utilizing intelligence collection programs to collect telephone records and internet data from millions of U.S. citizens and foreign nationals. The details of these programs were leaked by former defense contractor Edward Snowden.
Following this revelation, the U.S. Congress held several hearings to discuss the scale and scope of these programs. According to intelligence officials, these counterterrorism programs helped stop more than fifty terror plots around the world. Despite the reported successes these programs had in counterterrorism efforts, the methodology and employment of these collection practices is troubling. It has been months since Mr. Snowden’s revealing interview took place, and almost weekly we continue to hear about more and more alleged questionable collection targets and practices.
Although I am glad that the intelligence committees are going to have a thorough review of our country’s surveillance programs, I believe the only way to get to the bottom of this is through a select committee. Please rest assured that I will continue to work with my colleagues in Congress to ensure that our constituents’ privacy remains a paramount concern.
