But what she FAILED to realize is that Southern Whites STILL have a tendency to SUBCONSCIOUSLY see blacks as inferior -- and ONLY conscious work to change OUR OWN MINDS will liberate Southern (and other) Whites.

That said, we MUST DISCERN which human ideas lead eventually to GOOD things (things that benefit the one considering them and everyone else is at least NOT HARMED), and DESTRUCTIVE IDEAS which lead to poverty, violence, slavery, un-equal treatment of God's Children, etc.

So I found it very SAD that Paula Dean's two sons (who are CLEARLY nice guys with good intentions), said that "God lives in our house."

How Tennessee Williams that there is so much confusion here -- HA!!! This is NOT the poem named "Androgyne, Mon Amour" as labeled and published beginning on page 16 of my copy of the book of the same name, although that PHRASE appears in this poem you send link to.
My greatest fear last night was that I was just too TIRED to read it right and Mr. Shuman's claim that the unmarked "verse vii" actual said what Shuman claims. HE could have reduced the confusion by saying "line such-n-such" of the poem on "page such-n-such" -- IN FACT I waited several hours late night hoping to get some clarification from Mr. Shuman, which still has not come.
Oh well, I hope to hear from North Carolina or Chicago about the RESULT of the Court Action yesterday, soon, and will report it as soon as I can. The other one is happening today.
