Did YOU notice that BOTH Brunswick and Hanover -- the county closest to me and the one I live in (as "New Hanover"), in North Carolina, BOTH changed names -- and I always thought that Brunswick was ENGLISH!!!
TOTALLY COOL!!! My "Meijer" ancestor came to the Brookville, IN area after Ellis Island changed it to Meyer for phonetic reasons, searching for his BROTHER who stole the Family Inheritance to get his share back -- never found him -- but in 1984 when Mom researched to write a Meyer Family Genealogy -- since my FAMOUS Kenan Family was well documented going back to Charlemagne, she FOUND the descendants of the THIEF in the next county in Indiana -- HA!!!

Mexico's former President Vincente Fox's grandfather was born in Cincinnati, anglicized "Fuchs" to "Fox" at about this time, and then emigrated to Mexico. Fox worked for my NC-based Kenan family (I was born in Cincy in 1951 and now live in NC), as a Coca-Cola exec before becoming a Politician, and then with John Boehner -- also born in Cincy -- he became a top promoter of Legalization of Marijuana!!! And GOOFED about running for US President.
ALSO, although TRUTH-HATING Christian/Republicans claim WIND TURBINES are to blame (they account for so little of Texas's power), ICELAND is on TOTAL RENEWABLE ENERGY, a FAR COLDER PLACE(normally), and has no problems with their wind turbines!!!
Last night about 9:30, an AMBULENCE was in front of 91-year-old Eleanor's house, four doors down from me at the beginning of Spofford Circle -- but the house CLOSER to me and next-door to Ellie was again CLOGGED with big pick-up trucks with "BUY AMMO" and usually sporting TRUMP EMBLEMS and Confederate flags -- and they have an older woman on oxygen -- and TWO HOUSE TRAILERS in the back yard where other TRUMP TROOPERS live (against zoning, I believe).
So I didn't know until TODAY, that it was Ellie who fell and broke her femur, and will now be in hospital for a few days.
The NEWS this morning was of the killer tornado that landed in Brunswick County (next to our New Hanover County), but it was WARM and became SUNNY -- reaching 66 degrees this afternoon. What was NO MORE in the news was speculation about Wilmington's own Lara (Yunaska) Trump running for US Senator from NC -- EVEN the REPUBLICANS were laughing at that idea!!!
And I got to ARGUING with a bunch of Christians -- Republicans, of course -- on a WECT-TV6 News thread who said all they needed to do was PRAY TO JESUS!!!
Of COURSE I made mince-meat of them, but they wouldn't SHUT UP until I told them how I work with TOP LAW ENFORCEMENT to catch, try, and JAIL Trump Supporters who MATERIALLY HELPED in the January 6 Insurrection, and had in FACT turned in my 7th grade crush Linda LeBoutillier of Downingtown, PA as well as a couple of people here on the Lower Cape Fear -- and then they all shut up -- HA!!!
BUT, come to think of it, Jesus -- like his Dad -- was trained as a CARPENTER, so praying to him to fix the HOUSES (but not the cars), makes PERFECT SENSE!!!

A literary vent, a one-sided, free-wheeling discussion, everything posted on this blog is true. Don't mistake that to mean everything here is fact. Frequently, I paint with a broad brush, coloring things to a degree of my own choosing—for the sake of art.
My characters remind me of what Dr. J. Kennedy Schultz once said--and they insist I post it here:
“When I say something about you, it may or may not be true about you, however, I always reveal something of myself.”
Judging from some of the comments people have made to me, I wish to remind them this works in BOTH directions.
