Amazon WAITS to pay -- just like PayPal takes four to five days to clear MOST banks after you transfer funds. For some reason, Bank of America always CLEARS my PayPal transfers after TWO days. BoA also NEVER holds a gas-pump debit card "ping" as "held funds" for several days like MOST other banks at least DID. BoA NEVER did this!!!
And here is why: In 6th grade of Catholic grade school, the nuns taught us that banks can lend FIVE TIMES what they have on deposit -- in fact, this is ONE way the money supply is EXPANDED. So if your bank DELAYS crediting you for three business days and lends your $100.00 to credit card borrowers at 18% interest -- so that means actually FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS at 18% interest, they effectively make NINETY PERCENT (90%) interest on your DELAYED deposit or credit.
If they can COUNT ON (and they can), a fairly steady supply of people going through this, they have a HUMONGOUS pool of funds that THEY possess but have DELAYED US from possessing on which to make all this money off in interest (and additional piecemeal charges).

3. That reminds me, for WEEKS now, I've been wanting to SALUTE Justice Sotomayor, who very publicly complimented her Catholic Grade School education in Brooklyn -- and correctly claimed that young Catholic education has been a HUGE generator of LEADERSHIP IN AMERICA!!!
