This is as INSANE (Holder calling Voter I.D. Laws a "Poll Tax"), as a Republican recently calling the IRS "The New Gestapo". OK, it's not actually as EXTREME.
Voter ID laws CLEARLY are used to repress minority voting, but it will KICK THE DEMOCRATS IN THE ASS later if they continue to LIE like this and make FALSE metaphors simply to hit a STRONG EMOTIONAL BUTTON in their semi-thinking supporters. THIS IS THE PROVEN REPUBLICAN/NAZI PARTY STRATEGY and if the Democrats HOPE to win, they must RETURN to appealing to REASON (or maybe the Republicans will do that, but they've got much FARTHER to go to do so).
Seems like I just did the same thing, doesn't it??? Mr. Holder might do well to remember the slogan of the NAACP that in my YOUTH ran frequently on TV: THE MIND IS A TERRIBLE THING TO WASTE. In my extensive email conversations with Mr. Lahr (effectively cut short later by hackers and computer thieves -- bent on stopping us), he never mentioned specific names of living people (but I LOVED that he said in my quite brief vignette of my meeting Maria St. Just -- nee: Britneva -- that I had PERFECTLY captured her "stentorian" nature.
Thomas Keith, however, was QUITE vocal to me about Mr. Lahr, whom he claimed was a closet homosexual whom Thomas said he could therefore "easily control", and that was a very GOOD thing since Thomas (read: Sewanee) had SERIOUS PROBLEMS with Mr. Lahr's views. Additionally, Tennessee's murderer, John Uecker, repeated this to me and even emailed me via WiFi on a train en route to the 2009 FAR MORE LEGITIMATE Provincetown Williams Festival http://www.twptown.org/ that he was travelling with Thomas Keith and they were strategizing on the train about how best to control information about Mr. Williams.
John Lahr is man enough to overcome ALL of this. I eagerly look forward to his completed book (if the Republican Party allows him to publish it -- but let's face it: John Lahr has MUCH better credentials in the literary field than do I, so I bet he gets past this CONSIDERABLE object).
And if you would like to gift me a subscription to THE NEW YORKER, that would be nice. LOL!!!
There is SO MUCH other news, so I'll try to be brief:
1. I'm doing GREAT, and after a nice early supper on the beach NOT at Mismaloya (which I have decided is too commercialized now to be relaxing and as spiritually gratifying as LESS Gringo-infested waters), I, having been inspired by seeing an EXCELLENT interview with Rob Reiner by CNN's Piers Morgan a couple of days ago -- you'll remember that Rob's first cousin Jonathan, a LONG TERM internetic friend of mine, made me an Honorary Jew right after I FIRST blogged that my parents are the TOP NAZIS in the US, back in early 2010 -- finally faced watching SHINDLER'S LIST again.
Last night's weather was UBER dramatic with STRONG DRENCHING thunderstorms into the wee hours. Fortunately, we never lost power, but the racket of it was so loud I had to turn the TV volume to DOUBLE NORMAL to hear dialogue, after discovering there are no subtitles on the DVD. It didn't matter since next-door CAT-HATER Larry has been verified by landlord Mark Servin to have "mysteriously disappeared".
Actually, Mark had NO IDEA Larry disappeared about July 2 -- I told him that part. But Mark DID tell me that although Larry paid FULL RENT for July and is on a lease for several more months more, he mentioned that he has suddenly been discovered to have "an enlarged heart" and might eventually need to return to the US for surgery. ONE DAY LATER, Larry took flight WITHOUT (as of July 10, anyway), calling, emailing, or otherwise letting Mark know he was leaving. He did NOT leave his keys, either, so MAYBE he plans to return, but he really should have let Mark know (or shortly after landing in the US if he was in an HUGE sudden hurry), what he was doing in such a dire situation -- IF IT WAS REAL!!! Mark certainly agreed with me on THAT (and Mark and I are getting along as well as good friends now).
Back to my point: Watching SHINDLER'S LIST was a highly cathartic experience, and the cats consoled me as I balled my eyes out in empathy as well as IN PRIDE FOR WHAT I'VE DONE. I was also AWASH in waves of GRATITUDE that I live in the ONE PLACE ON EARTH where the highest compliment of the native people is to call one a "JEW".

2. Michelle, the California woman (black) who took apartment 8 is probably a drug dealer or narco-trafficker -- or at least an addict. Not only was she ENTIRELY unable to get out of bed yet at noon yesterday (after she and I agreed the night before that we would go to Costco at 10:00 AM). She also told me that when she arrived in PV a friend gave her a HUGE bag of pot ("Sonny" aka Jimmy Humberto Montana Prieto? LOL!!!) that she hides in the back of her closet. Maybe she's just an out-of-control POT FIEND. I will avoid her in the future (unless otherwise suits me better. LOL!!!).
3. I am under restrictions on BOTH my email accounts until about 12 hours from now, so will more judiciously email today (I'm allowed up to either 10 or 100 recipients per emailing ONLY until then. I GOT on restrictions by more-widely-than-usual emailing the two last blog posts. What is even MORE interesting was that after several hours, NO ONE, NOT ONE PERSON, NADA, had actually accessed EITHER blog post according to Google Statistics. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. Typically, I get at least a dozen hits within the first three minutes -- followed by more.
4. I do not yet know the fate of the massager and DVD. I ALSO have no idea why you would have sent me PUSSY PORN!!! Perhaps I will find out Thursday when the next mail arrives.
5. The brother of the CIA's top killer to protect narco-trafficking in Puerto Vallarta (former), Albert Guzman aka "Baby Azteca", who is actually naive about all of that and one of the PUREST HEARTED PEOPLE I've ever met, might move back to PV, so I told him if so he can stay here up to two weeks. More on that later.
