So much happened in my life this past week I can barely keep up with it. Before hearing from you, I heard from London journalist Sam Davies who interviewed me via ZOOM and follow-up emails for an article in Leafie magazine on how COVID changed people's relationship with smoking pot. Then, I heard from you, and last night, I heard from the first guy I dated after moving to Atlanta in 1983 -- Rife Hughey, the retired Chief Protocol Officer to Admiral Zumwalt!!! Like the other two of you, he found me via Facebook, and I successfully got him a message to please email me. I see he picked it up this morning, but I haven't heard from him yet.


I actually met Dakin at one of the New Orleans TW Fests in the aughts. EVERYONE at that festival RIDICULED Dakin -- he had published in his book as well as told people all of the time that John Uecker murdered Tennessee, but he was NUTS and even dressed as Blanche Dubois one year and ran around like a bad drag queen (and he was actually gay -- his wife Joyce was a Lesbian, and they had two ADOPTED daughters, one of whom was ALSO gay)!!! 



John Uecker is halfway up the stairs and bald, Dakin Williams' Lesbian Daughter Francesca Williams is on far right -- at the dedication of the Tennessee Williams birth-home museum in Columbus, Mississippi several years ago.



John Lahr and I communicated while I wrote my memoir and he was very helpful to me, as I was to him. The Timeline from putting our two books together proves that my claims about Tenn's murder COULD be true. And I got to know John Uecker well -- again -- in 2009 -- he even told me how Thomas Elliot Keith told him he BLACKMAILED John Lahr over Lahr's having sex with young guys while married to Connie Booth into NOT mentioning me in his bio of Tenn -- but when I met Lahr in person (as well as Lt. Gen. Russel Honore' and John Waters), at the 2015 NOLA TW Fest, Lahr announced to his BIGGEST audience that I am the Authority on the last two years of Tenn's life.


Funny, is that Vassilis Voglis told me that when Tenn died, he had CRAB LICE -- too shocking then to be allowed into the news -- and in 1990, when from the offices of Kenan Oil in Chapel Hill, where I had gone to try to meet Thomas S. Kenan III, I got there late -- and unannounced -- and the President, Lee Shaffer, was there alone -- super friendly -- sat me at Tom's desk and had me call him at home. 


I tried to trade a secret about TW's death for his disclosure of the THIRD autopsy of Mary Lily Kenan, Flagler, Bingham. 60 Minutes had done a segment in 1989 on that, but Tom refused to tell me. Lee Shaffer went on to combine Kenan Oil and Kenan Transport with Advantage Group trucking to make Kenan Advantage Group -- 2/3 the original execs were from the two Kenan companies.

Anyway, you mention Gore Vidal, and I finally met him at a NOLA TW Fest in the aughts. I LOVE this photo of him from 1958 with then Sen. Kennedy and Tennessee shooting SKEET at a Kennedy Compound in Palm Beach. It was a SHOCK to see Tom shooting a gun -- but when you think about it, that's what he was doing when he WROTE!!!



Also, my boyfriend my senior year at Denison, Jeff Work and I went to NYC for a long weekend spring 1973, and stayed in Jill Krementz and Kurt Vonnegut's apartment -- while they were out of town (Jeff's old girlfriend lived with them and was an intern to Jill her senior year at Denison). We went to the Continental Baths to see a show, and Rex Reed (whom I also met years later at the NOLA Fest), was dancing between two chubby black guys -- the blacks only wearing DIAPERS!!! 


I then understood where the pejorative "Jungle Bunnies" came from -- LOL!!!

P.S. years ago I read Dakin believed Maria had Tennessee murdered, the motive being he was going to fire her as his literary executor. From your sketch of her after the Shubert Theatre tribute, coupled with knowledge of her background, she seems fully capable of it. Yet taking your statement at face value, John Uecker murdered him (or had him murdered). Figuratively speaking? Vidal once wrote that when they performed the autopsy, Tennessee was found to have the heart and lungs of an ox despite all the decades of substance abuse. I never bought into the "his body just gave out at 71" verdict.

He, his wife Goth Actress Phoebe Dollar, their daughter, and Phoebe's parents, Lois Dollar and her husband "Confederate" Dollar (we all used to smoke joints at the base of Market Street leaning out over the Cape Fear River -- our backs to the Police Cameras), moved to California a week before I got back from my SECOND period of Exile in Mexico, late June, 2015. 


Within three months, Danny was sentenced to three years in California Prison on Drug-related charges. Here is a photo of him, Phoebe, and their "Little Dividend" (Danny had confided in me that he wanted to have sex with me, but had to honor his vows to his family, so we never did). 


I never did with Tennessee, either.

Wow, what an amazing story. (Aside: I worked for Nationsbank in downtown Charlotte NC starting in 1994, left in 1998 as it was rebranding itself Bank of America. Family and I vacationed a lot on the coast near Wilmington at Carolina and Wrightsville Beaches. Know the area very well. One day we were having lunch in downtown Wilmington and stumbled onto the set of Young Sherlock Holmes filming an episode near the town center lol.)


Thank you for the opportunity to read it online. I'll write back later when I've read it. I certainly hope you're eventually vindicated. I've been in grassroots politics since I was 12, and have come to the conclusion (at age 66) that national politics is hopeless, both parties (CFR team A and CFR team B) hopelessly corrupt...but enough of that.
