I just found this old posting that includes my LAST CORRESPONDENCE with John Uecker. I had forgotten he told me THEN he had had to FLEE the USA and plans to NEVER RETURN -- claiming Tennessee Williams's death was blamed on him by Edward Albee -- and that Albee and John Eastman (Tenn's last lawyer and the first brother-in-law of Paul McCartney who WAS complicit in John Lennon's murder), had murdered Tennessee:
From Mr. Uecker: "GET IT RIGHT!!! It was Edward Albee with John Eastman and the FBI/CIA who murdered that is correct MURDERED Tennessee Williams. Both Eastman and Albee were/are contributing members of the FBI/CIA."
Edward Albee, was SWITCHED IN at the 2010 Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival to REPLACE ME -- when my memoir's publication by Alyson Books was CANCELLED and Executive Director Paul Willis cancelled MY being interviewed by Thomas Elliot Keith and the two other panels I was scheduled to be on -- and I read the transcripts and Albee was GREAT!!!

That center stone that is vertical is Tennessee's -- SURROUNDED by all the other Poets -- as if they are PAYING TRIBUTE TO HIM.

Your otherwise excellent Dec. 28 article on the centennial celebration at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine refers (in some editions) to the cathedral as the world's "second largest" and identifies St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican as the largest.
St. Peter's is not a cathedral. A church is designated a cathedral when it houses a cathedra, a bishop's ceremonial chair, and thus serves as the administrative seat of its diocese. St. John the Divine is a cathedral because it is the seat of the diocese of New York of the Episcopal Church. Although the Pope is the Bishop of Rome, the seat of the Roman diocese is St. John Lateran, not St. Peter's.
St. Peter's is no longer the world's largest church. In 1990 it was surpassed by the Basilica of Our Lady of Peace in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast.
Therefore, St. John the Divine -- even in its unfinished state -- is the world's largest cathedral, and third-largest church. THOMAS FEDOREK New York, Dec. 31, 1992.

And NO ONE has ever mistaken Tennessee Williams for a GPS!!!
