Now, I have blogged about BOTH RESORTS many times -- but Walker World more recently -- so to CLEAR UP some things, I will give the LATEST of what I now understand to be true of Allen's property:
1. Although several Wilmington Police Officers told me that Walker World is being WATCHED as a likely Port of Entry of huge volumes of Drugs -- I only know the people who live there to smoke POT -- which no one cares about.
3. This resort is just a few miles from Wilmington, NC in Castle Hayne, but despite the photo of someone diving into the N.E. Cape Fear River -- NO ONE DOES THAT because the river is chock full of COAL ASH (thanks to the Duke Family and their power plants), and HOG LAGOON overflow (pig shit).

Rates are the same, year-round.
Now, let's look at Riviera del Rio, which is NOW in season. One room available still for this weekend, is at $179.00 per night -- but goes briefly to $349.00/night for Christmas week, only -- and it INCLUDES cleaning fees, "service fees" etc.
Walker World for two nights: $1,640.00 (and there is ALSO a $500.00 refundable DEPOSIT).
Riviera del Rio for two nights: $358.00 (plus taxes -- about 15%, so $411.00). No Deposit.
With a difference of $1,229.00, you can EASILY buy two round-trip airline tickets (I never paid more than $350.00 RT ATL-PVR), and have TONS TO SPEND on other things!!! And the LONGER your stay -- the MORE YOU SAVE!!!

Riviera del Rio's website has a HISTORY PAGE -- but it doesn't tell a TENTH of their story!!! While I lived in Puerto Vallarta in 2010 and again, 2012 - 15, I visited the property MANY TIMES.
It was then "Tara Sur" (South), the home of iconic artist Maria Cortez, a lover of "Gone with the Wind" and was THEN very run-down -- or at least neglected. When I met Silver, lying in her bed, it was shortly before she died.
The indoor pool was full of Japanese carp -- and Lily Pads.
Silver's daughter, Candace, was in my Puerto Vallarta Writers Group, and she LOVED my Tennessee Williams memoir so much (http://laterdaysoftennesseewilliams.blogspot.com/), that she paid me to EDIT HER STORIES -- which I did on her computer at then "Tara Sur".
I also renovated her computer (which had been CLOGGED with spyware and other non-sense), and often swam with her in the roof-top pool, and had meals with her there. I even slept there (as a personal guest), once.
That was in 2010, but when I returned in 2012, Silver had died -- and left the property and most of her legendary fortune to Candace's son, Alex, because Candace was a TOTAL DINGBAT!!!
Alex looked much like THIS -- but was "Sadly Straight" -- and I got too aggressive trying to give him "manly services", and so I was no longer welcome there (except for a FINAL VISIT in early 2015, before I returned to Wilmington, NC, and they showed me the RENOVATED property)!!!
And DESPITE all of that -- Riviera del Rio advertises as "Gay Friendly" -- including on gay websites -- while Walker World is strongly ANTI-GAY, Allen Walker believed to be a TOTAL CLOSET CASE, now girl-friended with a Republican Lawyer who "shovels him money" -- DESPITE his HUGE TAKE from his property!!!
