But then I got to thinking about the 1825 mansion of North Carolina Governor Dudley at 400 South Front Street in Wilmington:
This is NOT NEARLY as large as the Catholic BISHOP'S residence (not even a Cardinal), in Norwood/Cincinnati, Ohio!!!
And then, I thought back to OTHER residents of this palace on Front Street -- Mary Lily Kenan's closest friends (Mary Lily grew up at 110 Nun Street, just around the corner and a couple of houses east -- the William Rand Kenan, Sr. House, which is currently undergoing major renovations), Pembroke and Sarah Jones -- and Pembroke's MALE LOVER, Henry Walters -- who went EVERYWHERE with the Joneses!!!
When I lived on the Shakespearean Dunsinane Drive near West Chester, Pennsylvania (1963 - 1968), my best friend Bob Jones and I used to kid around about "Keeping up with the Joneses" -- NEVER having any idea this expression came from the lavish parties that the Joneses threw for Mary Lily (Kenan) Flagler after she inherited control of Standard Oil (and MUCH MORE), from Henry Morrison Flagler in 1913 -- and the New York Times declared Mary Lily THE WEALTHIEST WOMAN IN THE WORLD!!!

The ONLY surviving photo of Sarah Jones next to her husband Pembroke (far left in back seat), driven by Pembroke's lover, Henry Walters. When Pembroke died, SARAH MARRIED HENRY WALTERS, an Executive of the Atlantic Coast Line railroad, headquartered in Wilmington, North Carolina.
I DID THE MATH -- and THIS actually is figured CORRECTLY!!!:

But North Carolina's Gov. Roy Cooper (and New Hanover County Officials as well), have LED IN THE SOUTH in getting ahead of the curve, and NC is in GREAT SHAPE compared to the OTHER SOUTHERN STATES -- that are all led by GOD-HATING CHRISTIAN REPUBLICANS!!!
